The Notre Dame football team will face the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the Fiesta Bowl, a clash between two teams that were right on the doorstep of the college football playoffs. Wide receiver help in the portal

As the 2022 recruiting class began to take shape on the day of the early signing, it was clear that only one wide receiver would join the Irish this offseason. That player was Tobias Merriweather, an elite expanded prospect, and one who should fill the void left by Amorion Walker and CJ Williams signing elsewhere.

Overall, the wide receiver position for the Irish in 2022 could be slim, as guys like Braden Lenzy and Kevin Austin Jr. are eligible for the NFL draft. Some dynamic freshmen are returning in Lorenzo Styles Jr., Deion Colzie and Jayden Thomas, but adding a player to the position through the transfer portal may be necessary.
