the Argentine Football Association detailed the start of a regional sponsorship deal in Asia alongside an online casino and sports betting operator W88.
The Asia-focused brand, which also has sports alliances alongside Premier League pair Leicester City and Crystal Palace, will eventually become the AFA’s official bookmaker in the region.
Claudio Tapia, President of the AFAexplained: “During all these years of management, we have developed a strong expansion of our AFA brand in markets that in the past were not commercially exploited, such as the Asian market.
“Thanks to this work, we can build agreements like this with important brands that today find in AFA a strategic partner for their marketing plans in this important region. I welcome W88 to our national team sponsorship platform.”
W88 adds that it has sought this deal as part of its global expansion plan, with its collaboration alongside the Argentine FA coming with the aim of consolidating its brand development in Asia.

The deal covers the current year, including the World Cup in Qatar, a tournament for which the two-time winners are one of many countries to have already qualified.
