Chad Kelly will start in the first professional football game

The time has come for Chad Kelly to take the reins at quarterback and see what he can do, maybe even not do, with all eyes on the Argonauts freshman.

There were times during the season when it seemed obvious to give Kelly a few reps when the offense was struggling and a change of pace was needed.

He can run, can do all the throws, and is willing to sacrifice his body.

What he lacked was experience.

Having now appeared in all 17 regular season games and with the Argos and Montreal Alouettes visiting for essentially a meaningless game, there’s no reason Kelly shouldn’t start and be allowed to show off his talents. .

It wasn’t since her college days at Ole Miss that Kelly started.

Chad Kelly’s long story has been documented over time, but here we see the culmination of hard work and determination. An SEC star who was Mr. Irrelevant in the NFL Draft has now reached a point where he could start for a professional football team. Maybe not in the United States, but it’s the first step to take the next step.

Chad and I had our differences; at one point he blocked me on Twitter, but that was a lack of communication regarding intentions. I have the greatest respect for Chad and hope he has an amazing Saturday.

The guy is electric and hopes to see him make the transition to the CFL in his first start effectively. He has a big arm and great mobility, I hope he kills him.
