Cristiano Ronaldo charged by the English Football Federation over an incident at Everton

Cristiano Ronaldo was charged by the Football Association on Friday over an incident in which the Manchester United striker apparently dropped a phone from the hand of an Everton fan during a Premier League game in April.

It is alleged that Ronaldo’s conduct was inappropriate and/or violent, the governing body has said.

Ronaldo received a police warning in August after being questioned by officers over an allegation of assault and criminal damage following the incident at Goodison Park on April 9.
