Mark your calendars Duck fans, the first chance to enjoy the Dan Lanning era has been set.
The school will host its annual spring football game on April 23, Lanning told a packed Matthew Knight Arena crowd during the half of Saturday’s men’s basketball game against Oregon State. The match will be played inside Autzen Stadium at 1 p.m., he also shared.

Lanning’s halftime speech was his first speech at a track meet in Oregon and lasted about 90 seconds in total.
“We plan to be a championship force here. I can tell you right now,” Lanning said during the speech. “I’ll say this in our program that we don’t believe it’s a thing that does. We believe that is all. Every day is about a plus a plus a plus until it all adds up to make a difference.
“The one thing that I think makes Oregon different and that everyone needs to understand is that we have the most passionate fans in the country. So I want to see that passion and I want to see that energy the April 23 at 1 p.m. at the Autzen stadium during our spring match.
“I can promise you that we are going to put a product on the pitch that you will be proud of. We are going to have a team that you can be proud of in the way we operate day in and day out.”
Oregon will begin spring football training ahead of the April 23 scrimmage event that begins in the coming months.
