Egyptian Football Association appeals on Carlos Queiroz’s future

The Egyptian Football Association (ALE) has finally issued a call on the future of the head coach Carlos Queiroz following his resignation more than a week ago.

Queiroz tendered his resignation following Egypt’s failure to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup final in Qatar.

The Pharaohs were beaten by Senegal, and the defeat was enough for Queiroz to resign from the position he had held since September 2021.

And the EFA waited over a week to accept Queiroz’s resignation and they thanked the former Bafana mentor Bafana for his contribution to the Egyptian national team.

EFA ACCEPTS CARLOS QUEIROZ’S RESIGNATION

“Carlos Queiroz expressed his joy at the time he spent in Egypt, expressing the extent of his love for Egypt and the Egyptians, underlining his support for Egyptian football,” read a statement from the E FA.

“At the end of today’s session, the Federation’s Board of Directors decided to thank Carlos Queiroz, coach of the Egyptian national team, after both parties agreed to terminate the contract of mutual agreement.”
