Gisele Bundchen shares surprising reaction to appearing in first football game after meeting Tom Brady

Gisele Bundchen is a huge football fan thanks to her husband Tom Brady. However, when she first met the future Professional Football Hall of Fame, football was not on her radar. In the last episode of ESPN + Man in the Arena docuseries: Tom Brady, Bundchen spoke about how “boring” football was after watching his first game.

“I thought it was the most boring thing I have ever seen in my life. I was like ‘What are they doing?’ … At the end, I was like, “My God, I don’t know what to say to this guy?”… I didn’t get it, ”Bundchen said, by PEOPLE. Bundchen’s opener pitted Brady’s former team, the New England Patriots, against the San Diego Chargers. Brady invited Bundchen to the game after having a few dates.

“She didn’t grow up watching football, she doesn’t care,” Brady said. Although he didn’t care about the sport at first, Bundchen began to realize how much work Brady and NFL players put in each year due to the physical nature of the game.

“I think we could both understand the level of commitment and the level of dedication it takes to be really good at something,” Bundchen explained. Brady and Bundchen married in 2009 and have two children. Brady also has a son from a relationship with ex Bridget Moynahan.

“I didn’t think I would be married until the end of my career, in my late thirties, early forties, I was going to get married,” Brady revealed. “And obviously she came into my life.” “We shared a great love of family, we shared a great love for each other, and we wanted to start a family together.”

Brady was in his prime when he married Bundchen. And while Brady knows retirement is closer now than it was in 2009, he’s showing no signs of slowing down. In 13 games this season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the legendary quarterback has completed 68% of his passes for 4,134 yards and 36 touchdowns. He led the Buccaneers to a 10-3 record, which ties them to the Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals for the best record in the NFL.
