Is it Monday again? That’s right, but NFL fans hoping to watch “Monday Night Football” are going to be very disappointed.

The NFL regular season is officially over. Week 18 is over and the playoff field is set. While fans have enjoyed 17 weeks of “Monday Night Football”, they will have to wait a week for the 18th.

There is no “Monday Night Football” in week 18. The NFL never schedules a Monday game in the last week of the season, so all of its action can be over by now. the end of “Sunday Night Football”. As a result, there will be no “MNF” this week, although those hoping to watch football will have the chance to see Alabama vs Georgia in the national championship game.

Is there a Monday Night Football game tonight?

There is no Monday Night Football game on Monday January 10th. ESPN doesn’t air “Monday Night Football” during the final week of the regular season because the NFL likes its playoff entrants to solidify on Sunday night. That’s why the final Sunday Night Football game of the regular season is often a win-win contest.

While there isn’t a Monday night broadcast in Week 18, there will actually be one during the Wild Card playoff round. ESPN to host the final game of the Super Wild Card weekend as a standalone game on January 17 at 8:15 p.m.

And while there isn’t a Monday game this week, there have been two “Monday Night Football” shows on Saturday in a dual format. Thus, the “MNF” team remains strong before the playoffs.

There may not be a Monday Night Football game on January 10, but there is a pretty big game to replace it. The National College Football Playoff Championship kicks off at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN and ESPN2, so football fans can watch the All-SEC game between Alabama and Georgia.

Alabama defeated Georgia in the SEC 41-24 Championship game and Nick Saban never lost to Kirby Smart. Georgia have the best defense in the country, so they’ll be looking to slow down Bryce Young, Brian Robinson and Jameson Wiliams and get into a break-in game.
