Liberty football team sends Da’veyon Williamson, La’Breilyn Wilson and Tremendous Watson to college

LIBERTY, Ohio (WKBN) — It was a big day for three members of the Liberty football team as students, parents, teachers and coaches descended on the auditorium to hear their college pledge.

Senior Da’veyon Williamson is heading to Hiram College and will play away for the Terriers.

“I don’t know, there’s just something about it. As soon as I got there, I felt like home,” Williamson said. “I met all the players, felt like home. All the coaches, they just made me feel really comfortable. They just added a dual threat player who can do anything on the field. Anything they want me to do, I can do. They get that dog mentality from me.

The Leopards will also send a pair of linemen to the top tier. La’Breilyn Wilson and Tremendous Watson will remain teammates and friends, both committed to Hudson Valley Community College.

“I wouldn’t call him my friend. He’s my brother,” Watson said. “We’ve been through a lot, so working with him at the same school, you couldn’t put it better.”

“He’s my brother,” Wilson said. “We’re going to be cool. I’ll make sure. We are going to have the best time of our lives up there.
