“One of the most successful and powerful owners in professional sport took the time out of his Saturday morning to visit some nondescript park deep in Dorchester and chat with groups of football-loving gays,” player Alex Reimer wrote. on Outdoor sports after the game. “It’s hard to imagine a lot of other owners doing the same thing. “

Kraft financially supports the FLAG flag football Boston team, but it also comes to games.

The Patriots have joined the team to raise funds for Hope & Comfort, a charity that works to end hygiene insecurity for youth and families. 25,000 items were donated.

The Patriots – and Kraft – have been staunch LGBTQ allies for years.

“We do our best to be great allies, but we aspire to be the best advocates for the LGBTQ + community possible,” Josh Kraft, president of the New England Patriots Foundation, told Reimer. “We just – whether it’s religious differences, ethnic differences, or sexual orientation – we’re all the same people. “

“And on Saturday we were all there watching football,” added Reimer.
