The Highland Stags will play their first home game of the season when they take on the Dunfermline Kings at the Naval Grounds in Invergordon on Sunday.
The American football team opened the NFC North Two season two weeks ago with a 33-12 win over Dumfries Hunters.
Sunday’s victory would move the Stags to at least second place in the table.
General manager Tom Hutchison says it’s been a great start to the campaign for the team.
He’s looking to follow that up with an impressive win over Dunfermline on Sunday.
“It was a great win against Dumfries two weeks ago because it was a long way to go and they are a tough team,” Hutchison said.
“Now we are looking to keep in shape when we face Dunfermline on Sunday.
“They are the team we have played the most against in recent years.
“They came to our side when we went through the process of joining the league.
“They were also the only team that beat us last year and it will be an interesting game for sure.”
Dunfermline will have no surprises for Hutchison or his team after traveling to Fife to watch them suffer a 38-0 loss to the Clyde Valley Blackhawks.
“We went for inside information to see how they’re playing this season,” Hutchison said.
“You can never tell in this game because we didn’t expect to lose to them last season, but we’re pretty confident we can get the win.”
