Uganda Youth Football Association holds 14th annual general meeting

The Uganda Youth Football Association (UYFA) successfully hosted its 14th Annual General Meeting (AGA) on Saturday at the FUFA Special Interest Group (SIG) house in Lungujja, Kampala.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, participants from the Kampala and Buganda regions physically attended the meeting while the others followed the proceedings via zoom.

FUFA Deputy Director General (CEO) Humphrey Mandu honored the meeting as the guest of honor. He was flanked by the head of the FUFA member association, Swalley Kenyi.

“FUFA is proud of its organization and its achievements. I thank UYFA for being quick and stable and for working in the midst of the pandemic with the AGM online. Youth football is a concept of a treadmill to develop the beautiful game. As FUFA, we continue to plan and work together for the development of football with priority to women’s football, among others. I warn against the illegal exodus of players and the illicit transfers of players. FUFA will soundly support the youth protection policy, ”echoed Mandy, who represented FUFA President Magogo.

Newly elected President Roberts Kiwanuka received the Instruments of Power from incumbent leader John Bosco Masiko. They included the constitution of the association, the official stamp and portraits.

“I plan to improve the standards of youth football, competitions at all levels, increase media coverage and branding of UYFA to attract more partners, the well-being of players, empower communities that raise better footballers, provide member benefits and introduce the league and the Uganda Academy League, ”Kiwanuka noted.
